About the Hitachi Energy AI ML Engineer 2026 role
The Hitachi Energy AI ML Engineer 2026 role is part of Hitachi Energy’s Operation Center India (INOPC-PG) within the Transformers BU, which provides high-quality engineering and technology to Hitachi Energy worldwide. You will develop and support end-to-end AI/ML pipelines for transformer design, operations, manufacturing and service workflows – covering data ingestion, model training, evaluation and deployment.
You will also build Generative AI solutions such as LLM-based assistants, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems and domain-specific chatbots – a strong start for engineers who want real applied-AI work.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and support end-to-end AI/ML pipelines including data ingestion, training, evaluation and deployment.
- Build and integrate Generative AI solutions – LLM assistants, RAG systems and domain chatbots.
- Support agentic AI workflows where agents reason, plan and coordinate tasks under defined guardrails.
- Assist in architecting cloud-based AI/ML and GenAI resources (compute, storage, AI services).
- Support MLOps and GenAIOps practices – automation, versioning, monitoring and lifecycle management.
